The Stitch workflow

A first draft. Then your decisions.

Start with your recordings, not a blank creative brief. Stitch is built around choosing a useful first sequence and making the changes that matter to you.

A deliberate start

Choose footage and decide the shape, approximate length and feel of your edit before making a draft. The current editor supports vertical, landscape and square output, with short-film targets of about 15, 30, 45 or 60 seconds.

Natural, Scenic and Energetic are editing presets, not promises about a video’s artistic quality. The output still needs your review. A good setting cannot turn a missing shot into footage you never recorded.

Change a shot without rebuilding the idea

The core correction tools are Replace, Trim, Frame and Keep moment. Replace changes the selected source choice; Trim adjusts its timing; Frame changes the visible crop; Keep moment protects something you consider important.

The useful outcome is an approved sequence, not blind acceptance of an automatic result. Review the first and last frames of each shot, transitions between movements and any moments that carry personal meaning.

Review, export, then check the file

The product workflow includes previewing and cloud-rendered MP4 exports. Preview readiness, completed rendering, downloading and an operating-system share sheet are separate states. A share button is not proof that a platform has published your film.

Keep your camera originals until you have downloaded and played the final file. We do not promise a fixed processing time: source files, the network and the selected export all affect the journey.

What this release is not

The current planner uses editing rules and measurements, not a generative-video model. It does not invent new scenes. We do not advertise this release as an AI video generator, an offline editor or a replacement for a full professional grading suite.

Android remains a development build rather than a publicly released store app. An iOS release, an unlimited plan and paid pricing are not being offered on this page. Confirm available controls in the live app before planning a critical project.

Files, framing and music: know the limits

The current app help lists MP4 and MOV files with H.264 or HEVC video. HLG and HDR10 footage is converted to standard dynamic range. Log footage is refused at import; check the in-app limits before preparing a large batch.

Framing is under your control: use Fill or Fit and adjust the visible crop. A marked area is checked on the current frame; it does not track a moving subject. Watch the whole shot after changing its crop.

Music controls let you audition a library track or add a supported M4A file for which you have the rights. The live music help states that automatic beat detection is not yet available, so we do not promise beat-synchronized edits.
